Le Grand Rateau Big Band est un projet qui a pris forme il y a quelques années. Fort d’un premier prix de composition au Concours national de jazz de La Défense et de nombreux concerts dans différents festivals, Jérôme Rateau propose avec cette formation un pari audacieux en défendant un répertoire original. Ce projet collaboratif s’inscrit dans une démarche à long terme visant à favoriser la création auprès des festivals et des scènes nationales.

The Grand Rateau Big Band is a project that took shape a few years ago. With a first prize in composition at the La Défense National Jazz Competition and numerous concerts at various festivals under his belt, Jérôme Rateau is taking a bold gamble with this ensemble by championing an original repertoire. This collaborative project is part of a long-term approach aimed at promoting creativity at festivals and on national stages.
