Entourée par deux fantastiques musiciens, que l’on voit sur les scènes jazz, pop et musique traditionnelle (François Puyalto à la basse et Michel Schick aux clarinettes), Lembe Lokk revisite le répertoire de Leonard Cohen en mettant ses chansons presque à nu, avec un sens très pur du son, de l’émotion a vif. Une musique qui oscille entre folk, jazz et pop. Un hommage original et bouleversant de justesse. »
Au Sunset, “Secret chords – Songs of Leonard Cohen” n’est plus juste un spectacle, mais une sorte de maison, un banquet où l’on invite des amis, des musiciens qu’on apprécie, où l’on se retrouve pour partager ce qui nous traverse: Entre nous, avec vous… et la poésie de Leonard. Accompanied by two fantastic musicians, who perform on jazz, pop, and traditional music stages (François Puyalto on bass and Michel Schick on clarinets), Lembe Lokk revisits Leonard Cohen’s repertoire, stripping his songs down to their essence with a pure sense of sound and raw emotion. The music oscillates between folk, jazz, and pop. An original and deeply moving tribute.
At Sunset, “Secret Chords – Songs of Leonard Cohen” is no longer just a show, but a kind of home, a banquet where we invite friends, musicians we appreciate, where we come together to share what is going on in our lives: between us, with you… and the poetry of Leonard. Every first Tuesday of the month, from October to April.
