Après bientôt quarante ans de vie de leader et neuf albums sous son nom (ainsi
qu’une centaine en tant que sideman), en quintet, sextet, puis quartet, Goubert forme le premier trio sous nom. Avec cette nouvelle formation il revient vers des répertoires qui lui étaient chers, avec lesquels il nous a enchantés pendant des années (John Coltrane, McCoy Tyner, Michel Graillier,…) en y insérant des compositions originales, comme à son habitude. Il a choisi pour celà deux compagnons de musique qu’il souhaitait inviter depuis longtemps : le pianiste Etienne Deconfin et la contrebassiste Léna Aubert. trois musiciens, trois générations enflammées.

After nearly forty years as a bandleader and nine albums under his own name
(as well as around a hundred as a sideman), in quintet, sextet, and then quartet, Goubert has formed his first trio under his own name. With this new group, he returns to repertoires dear to him, with which he has enchanted us for years (John Coltrane, McCoy Tyner, Michel Graillier, etc.), incorporating original compositions, as is his custom. For this, he has chosen two musical companions he has long wished to invite: pianist Etienne Deconfin and double bassist Léna Aubert. Three musicians, three passionate generations.
